stop the tower!

Pre-May 2006: QPARA (Queen’s Park Residents’ Association) announced the results of their tower survey (the one we had to force them to issue).

According to the survey:

• Over half of the residents want a building of 6 storeys or less.
• Two thirds of people want a building of 8 storeys or less.
• 90% of people want a building of less than 10 storeys.

Guess what percentage want a building of over 15 storeys? Answer: 0.8%.
Given the size of the survey group, this amounts to one person.
This seems a good moment to remind you (again) that Brent’s planning policy is still for a 20-storey tower block.
